Dr. Deepak Govil is a highly experienced surgical gastroenterologist and GI oncosurgeon with over 40 years of expertise in advanced gastrointestinal surgery. A PhD in GI Surgery from AIIMS, New Delhi, he has further trained in laparoscopic and robotic GI surgery at the Mayo Clinic and in Chicago, USA. His key focus areas include hepatopancreatobiliary, colorectal and complex GI oncology procedures. An active academician, he has authored book chapters, published research, initiated the DrNB GI Surgery programme at Apollo Hospitals, and set up the Department of GI Surgery at PSRI, New Delhi.
